Summer’s in full swing and it’s definitely vacation season! When we travel and take a vacation we make it similar to our home life: lots of family time, good food, shopping and romance. Those are the ingredients for a dream getaway for us! We are squeezing in one quick trip with the kids to Miami so I’ve been planning my outfits and thought I’d share in case you are on the hunt for some fresh Inspo as well!
A trip always start with travel day and this time we are hopping a quick flight! I always balance comfort with sophistication for the perfect travel day outfit, so this time I’m planning on black linen pants (they show less dirt but will be cool enough when we arrive plus a tank and ball cap! (gotta travel incognito, right? haha!)
I’ve just ordered this swimsuit from Annie Bing (one of my favorite designers!) and paired it up with the bag I have from her. I also have my Salt and Stone sunscreen stashed in my bag. I love a great package, but this stuff also works like a charm!
After a good day at the beach I love to freshen up and hope to do some shopping in Miami. I love an outfit that keeps me feeling light and fresh while still looking polished and chic… now I just need an iced coffee to make the afternoon perfect!
Jack and I always go out at least one night if we can (one of the advantages of traveling with older kids!). The kids get excited about ordering a pizza to the room and watching Shark Tank on cable so it’s a guilt free escape for us! I can’t wait to go somewhere swanky so I have an excuse to dress up! (Sushi and Steak, perhaps?)
No vacation is complete without at least one evening in. I love to curl up in bed with the family, order room service and lounge in my silk jammies. I’m packing these just in case we get to work that one in!
