This is the summer wardrobe conversation I have been DYING to have. You know I believe in looking pulled-together—but let’s be real, when the heat is soaring, comfort is not optional. So this season, I’m refusing to choose. We’re bringing BOTH into our closets, and the result? Effortless, elevated, and oh-so-cool. Literally.
Here’s the thing I keep coming back to: summer dressing doesn’t have to mean sacrificing your style for survival. (Or sweating through something gorgeous just to look the part.) Instead, picture a wardrobe built on that beautiful tension between polished and relaxed—pieces that elevate the everyday while keeping you cool, breezy, and completely at ease. That’s where this whole look lives, and I am OBSESSED.
Summer has to be relaxed. This is the part that lets you breathe. Think wide-leg linen trousers—oh, that gorgeous oatmeal top that moves with you and never clings. Think pleated pull-on shorts in cream and that dreamy gold-green, the kind you can wear from a morning coffee run straight through to dinner. A ribbed tank that’s basically a second skin. A pair of braided leather flip-flops that say I’m not trying too hard—even though we secretly are.
These are the pieces that bring the ease—soft, forgiving, made for long lazy days. They’re the ones you reach for without thinking, and somehow always feel right. And honestly? That’s the whole point. Summer is meant to feel free.
But here’s where it gets exciting, because pure relaxed can start to feel a little sleepy, can’t it? So we balance it. We bring in those elevated little moments—the one-shoulder draped top with its sculptural neckline, the halter wrap that flows in all the right places, a sleek black mini with the prettiest buttons. We add a strappy lace-up heel, a gold-ringed tank, a black raffia hobo that’s textured but still so refined.
THIS is the contrast that makes the whole thing sing. Polished against easy. Structured against soft. Dressed-up against thrown-on.
And then you anchor it all with the pieces that go absolutely everywhere—a barely-there black swimsuit with a ring detail, a leopard bikini for a little wink of personality, that hardworking raffia bag that carries your whole life and still looks chic. Slip on the heels for dinner, swap to the flip-flops for the market, and suddenly your summer feels collected, intentional, and so beautifully you.
That’s summer style. Chic AND comfortable. Stylish AND relaxed. Pulled-together AND completely at ease.
