Hello and Happy Friyay! I have had an epiphany these last few weeks that has left me feeling more inspired than ever before. I love black! Hahaha I know. You already knew that about me. I think everyone did. But after a very short lived attempt to replace black with blue in my home, I’m realizing all over again WHY I love black. It’s calming and invigorating. Inspiring and wild yet classic and timeless. It’s a crazy little color. One minute it’s edgy and cool and the next it’s elegant and classy. And honestly? I just love it! Somehow saying that out loud has freed me to accept this about myself and just start having a lot of fun in a whole new way in dressing and decorating. I’ve never felt so inspired! Truly! Rooms that have sat just kind of waiting for the creative juices to hit, all now have direction and I have something that it so hard to find in life… peace. I just feel like a found myself… and maybe it’s just part of getting older, but I have allowed myself to simply accept who I am.
I’m not going to get taller or blonder (at least not without a LOT of help! Hahaha). I’m not going to like bright colors… maybe ever again. And I feel most at home with lots and lots and lots of BLACK. Hahaha. So, I may not be able to predict everything in the future, but I’m pretty sure there’s going to be lots of BLACK in it!
Whatever the weekend holds for you, I would wish upon you more of this delicious color that is the quickest route to pure bliss! Now, I’m off to hunt down more… black! With the occasional accent of beige and taupe and white… because, of course, they look so good with… black! 🙂
