Happy Friday! Does summer suddenly feel so real to anyone else? I was sitting here thinking of all I love about summer… It’s the heat of the day and the afternoon thunderstorms… the sound of the sprinklers ticking back and forth and the garden bursting with life… it’s the dream of long walks by the sea and days spent lounging by the pool… it’s mint juleps and elderflower cocktails… it’s rough hewn vases and gauzy embroidered dresses… it’s tanned skin, hot from the sun and wind in sandy hair… watermelon dripping down your arm and endless possibilities…
Ahh! Summer is just so good, isn’t it?
What is your favorite part of summer? I love the way my decor gets earthier. I ache for those rough hewn textures. It feels so cool and mellow yet exciting all at the same time. It’s thrilling!
I hope you have really fun plans ahead of you for the weekend! Perhaps some decorating, some sun bathing, and maybe even a cocktail with sunset! However you choose to spend the weekend I hope it’s full of love and adventure! A big hug and a kiss for each cheek! xxV
