Time is rarely portrayed as a friend. It’s seen as an enemy, a thing to hide, a thing to try to erase, but when it comes to our lives it’s the very thing we should be celebrating. It’s the one thing we can’t print more of, therefore it is a gift! When it comes to interiors, with age comes character, and the more you get of it, the payoff is exponential. The Japanese use a word called Wabi to describe this phenomenon – the beauty that comes with age and imperfection. They like to pair that up with the word sabi, which conveys the idea of serenity.
Those two paired up are a match made in absolute heaven!
