Happy Friday and Happy Halloween! There. I said and and now I am officially ready to start the festive season!! Aren’t you?? All I can think about is celebrating, gathering, and creating special memories! I can’t wait to set the table and pull out the china and the champagne flutes and wear pretty dresses and bows in my hair. I can’t wait for an excuse to dress up and wear sequins (without shame!) and heels and tights with little polka dots (or the ones with the pretty line up the back!). I can’t wait for more candlelight and roses and garlands and warm rooms with the lights dimmed. It feels like a fantasy, and I suppose it is. But isn’t that where every dream begins? When we imagine the world we long for and then set about creating it? Just think of the movies we can watch in bed, the nights spent with fur blankets and hot cocoa (spike mine, please!). And don’t even get me started on gift giving season! Oh how I love to search and ponder and find just the right thing for everyone on my list and wrap it up in pretty bows and watch their faces light up when they open it.
Yes, I think this truly is my favorite time of year and I’ve never been so excited to start a festive season than this year!
I wish for each of you a special season ahead, full of special moments spent with your friends and loved ones and a time of hope as we celebrate the big moments in life and the little ones, too!
But for now, the weekend awaits and all I can think about is DECORATING and getting out my Christmas china and the champagne flutes and getting the house ready for a season of joy! Gasp! And what shall we bake first?!
