Between working full time as a realtor and I having three kids and having just moved into our house, my schedule is crazy… as in caraaazy. I expected life to be busy in the US but my goodness! It really is! I am so grateful that my husband put the tree up… though at the time I thought he was nuts. I didn’t even know where my shoes were and he was putting up lights inside the house and out!
If you haven’t had a lot of time to do Clark Griswold style decorations, you still have time to decorate your home. I’ve got a few FAST last minute Christmas Decorations that are inexpensive and can be done just before your guests arrive or , if you aren’t entertaining, can be just for you to enjoy!
1. Don’t Get Fancy With Your Wrapping :: Wrap, Tie, Go. (Here are some more easy wrapping ideas!)
2.Decorate With What You Have On Hand.
My mom gave me this sheet music from when we were kids. We used it to go caroling in our neighborhood. I simply taped it with washi tape. (They have something similar at Target if you don’t have time to order. I like it because it doesn’t rip off the paint!)
3. Buy Fresh Garland. (It’s $15 a strand at Home Depot!)
4. Add a Wreath and a few decorations. You don’t have to create a huge tables cape. Add a few decorations to areas that are already done!
5. Use the Garland Scraps. I clipped a few strands off the garland from the fireplace and decorated my cabinet inside and out.
