At first glance I was all, “OMG. It’s so amazing. I want to live like this…” when I first saw this artist’s studio apartment in Sweden. (Because clearly the best way to cure homesickness and re-entry is to look at something really beautiful from where you just left and rub it in a little more.)
Then I had this weird little nagging feeling like I knew this person. Who else do I know who shares an affection for art leaning against the wall? And baskets filled with rolls of paper? moodboards? And stacks of magazines and jars full of paint brushes? Concrete and Wood? AND a monochromatic color scheme?
Anyone in particular come to your mind?
Oh, ha ha. Me. Was I too obvious?
Having a sista’ from anotha’ mista’ is very handy when you are decorating your own place ’cause it kind of lets you see what things will look like if you follow through on your ideas.
Evidently we not only share a style gene, but a moving one, too. (This home is just waiting for someone to snatch up!)
What about you? Look around and see if this place feels like you, too.
There’s always room in the sista’hood!
If you love this home, then you will definitely want to add these to your shopping list:
(They are already on mine! Click through the highlighted areas to see the products!)
Love industrial lighting? This floor lamp and this pendant lamp are awesome!
Apothecary jars are the perfect paint brush storage or vases!
A beautiful wire basket is the perfect way to store rolls of wrapping paper!
Don’t worry about matching chairs. Mix metal, leather, and wood.
