Okay… I am so in love with this room! The goal was simple: create a bedroom that feels like a chic mountain retreat, without actually living in a cabin. So we started with the modern pieces first—clean-lined furniture, a low-profile bed, slim mirrors, and simple nightstands. Those keep the room feeling fresh and current, not like you’ve moved into a ski lodge gift shop.
Then we started layering all the goodness: buffalo plaid, velvet, cable-knit, faux fur, houndstooth, dark woods, feathers, pine cones… all the things. This is where the Ralph Lauren energy really kicks in. Those deep browns, rich reds, winter whites, and classic patterns instantly warm up the clean lines and make the room feel cozy, a little nostalgic, and very apres ski chic!
The tree brings it all together—woven ornaments, little woodland animals, mercury glass, black accents, and pops of deep red. It’s woodsy and charming, but still feels designed, not cluttered. Think modern Smoky Mountains meets classic RL Christmas.
The trick to making this work in a real home? Balance.
Modern pieces keep it from feeling like a themed room. Rustic details bring the warmth. The Ralph Lauren-inspired touches—plaid, rich color, equestrian and lodge vibes—add that polished, lived-in elegance.
In the end, you get a bedroom that feels cozy, inviting, and a little bit magical… but still totally usable for everyday life!
