As I’m writing this I’m sitting in my Morticia dress with my heels kicked off and a cozy blanket over my lap. My kids and their friends are playing uno around the newly arranged coffee table (boy, do I ever have a LOT to catch you up on!) and Jack and I have been sitting here marveling at their voices shouting and their laughter and the sweetness of our home full of love and happiness. The clock will soon strike midnight and Jack was joking that the Mariah Carey is waiting to bring in the new month and the new season and, my friends, can I just tell you? I’ve never been so excited in my entire life for a festive season!!
We’ve been hinting and teasing for a couple weeks, and now it’s time to let loose and really kick this season off! By Sunday we hope to share the holiday bedroom makeover and from there it’s all decorating and celebrating and… I’m ready! We’ve got sneak peeks and some decorating to do with you live on Amazon on Saturday (eek!!! I can’t wait!!)
But for now, I am content to see a small glimpse of the inspiration I’ve been gathering starting to take shape. I dreamed up something decadent, luxurious, modern, classic… yet with a huge of coziness and … omg… a color palette pulled from the depths of the forest… and it is divine. It’s smoked glass, rich browns, smoky blacks, fluted silver, bronzed metals, champagne flutes and chevron pillows, fur and velvet… oh my goodness. I’m never going to be able to sleep tonight!!
Ok, ok, I’m going to do my best to go to sleep, though I can readily admit, that I have hardly slept these last few days from the excitement!
