It’s fair to say that we LOVE to celebrate around the House of Valentina! And Halloween has always been a favorite holiday of ours! We even celebrated when we lived abroad (and no one else celebrated in our country.) The kids got dressed up every year and went trick or treating at the bedroom doors while Jack and I “changed characters” and handed out candy at each new location. I know. LOL. We are REALLY into it!
But, I mean, honestly, what’s not to love about a spooky evening where everyone gets to dress up and be anyone or ANYTHING for an entire evening?! (one year I was a California Raisin! LOL!). And let’s not forget that it’s the one guilt-free holidays where all black IS EXPECTED!
Since we are a few weeks out from the hallow’ed eve, we’ve been busy making our plans for entertaining! Our first step is to mood board out the feel of the party itself. (of course. We are designers. duh.) This year we are combining lots of black, plenty of skulls with a little touch of modern elegance. It’s going to be the ultimate Halloween Party, FOR SURE!
Here are the “ingredients” we plan to use to make our spookiest party yet: plenty of smoked glass, black wood serving boards, skull cakes, candlelight, and a dash of witches brew! I’m getting so excited I wish Halloween was this weekend, but thankfully I’ve got just enough time to place my order so everything arrives in time!
