It’s here! The official start of Christmas decorating has begun at the House of Valentina — and, as always, we’re starting right where the magic begins and ends each day: the bedroom. There’s just something about waking up to twinkling lights and falling asleep surrounded by a little sparkle that makes the season feel extra special.
This year, I couldn’t decide between going classic modern or keeping things rustic and organic… so I did what any design rebel would do — I mixed them. And honestly? It’s pure magic. Think black velvet ribbons and champagne-gold ornaments against soft greenery, matte black accents paired with mercury glass, and a few rustic pinecones tucked between all that shimmer. It’s elegant, cozy, and just the right amount of moody — a look I’m calling Rustic Elegance.
Jack popped open the champagne (because of course he did), Home Alone played in the background, and the decorating officially began. The tree came alive with soft, glowing light, the alabaster lamps reflected that warm golden glow, and suddenly the entire room transformed into a winter dreamscape.
