From Cute to Grown-Up: Our Most Extreme Bedroom Transformation Yet!

This might just be the most dramatic makeover we’ve ever done! Our oldest son, Parker, is heading off to college soon (cue all the mom feels!), and he wanted a room that felt more grown-up and totally refreshed. His old setup was light blue with a bit of a beachy vibe, and while it was cute, it was time to level up. When he asked for my help to transform it, I couldn’t say yes fast enough—this is exactly what I live for as both a mom and a designer!

Our goal was to create a space that checked all the boxes: functional for him now and a cozy retreat for when he comes home to visit. He’s off to finish his last two years of college, and I wanted this to be a place he loves coming back to. So, we went all in. We repainted everything, added stunning new lighting, brought in a gorgeous new desk, and completely transformed the feel of the room. Seriously, it’s like night and day.
