It’s an exciting day when the carpet is ripped out of the master bathroom and is replaced by this gorgeous tumbled marble… only problem? A few of the tiles have cracks in them. Now I realize that these are delicate and I definitely wanted a worn look. I just didn’t want a worn out and broken look… especially for $6 per square foot (a bargain compared to a lot of marble flooring, but still not cheap.)
This isn’t the first time we’ve had trouble with these floors. When we went to pick them up all of the tiles in the boxes were shiny! We lost a day trying to figure out where we could get more of the tumbled version and then had to drive across town to get them… and then it poured rain the next day.
I just keep telling myself… it will get done. We will get there. Don’t panic. This is better than the carpet. (EWW!!) It’s going to be worth it. It’s become a chant, my mantra that I whisper every time I see a toilet in my closet!
This Master bathroom is going to get finished and it’s going to be awesome! What do you think of the floors? Do you like them? Do they feel a little English countryside to you? But hopefully still a little modern too?
