When most people think of bohemian style, they immediately conjure up ideas of reds, turquoise, and lots of Moroccan woods or Indian textiles, but the true essence of the bohemian style is one that feels traveled, a little eclectic, and not so rigid. When I saw this beautiful white and elegant bohemian home, I got so excited because I generally am not a huge fan of free spirited homes that generally fall into this category, but this home in Sweden has just enough elegance that I’m ready to move in and make myself at home. Who says that bohemian and free spirited has to be a certain color? Not me! And not this home owner!
To create an elegant and bohemian home, don’t be afraid to mix the new with the old and the sleek with the worn. Also, be on the look out for worn bust, warm woods, beautiful vintage books, and cozy fabrics, such as linen bedding, a linen sofa and sheepskin. Don’t forget to look for the items that fit your home when you travel rather than whatever the guide books say are typical buys as well!
