Would You Paint The Front Door Red?

January 9, 2017 · In: House Buying Tips, Interior Design

Red Door
There are a lot of great things about the color red.  Nails, shoes, lips, but a door?  Is it too crazy?  Is it too out there?  Would you Paint the Front Door Red?

Maybe I’m partial.  There’s something about a pop of color that makes me happy.  We put two coats on ours and as soon as we thaw out a bit after “snowmagedon” hit over the weekend, ours will be painted to perfection in Crimson Red.

But it was somewhere between the first and second coat that I started to fret.  Should I have gone this bold?  What was wrong with black?

A little more paint, though, and I knew it was just what the house needed.  The neighbors all agree, too, which is really great news when you are the new kid on the block.

I’ve rounded up a bit of inspiration to try to convince you to consider red…

I would and I even saw one the other day that was a darker shade of pink with the cutest decorative knocker but of course it would take the right house for that one. Red seems to go with a lot more. When we went to Greece the doors were all colors it was gorgeous.

I was just thinking about how we could add a pretty door knocker! Love that idea! And how fun to find a pink door!

A red door is a great way to stand out and bring buyers in! We used crimson red by Behr for ours. The color is a real stunner!

Comment TREE to get the link!!! 🎄 ✨

Sorry to break from fall for a minute but the Grand Duchess is BACK IN STOCK!! I waited a year to get mine last year and they sold out so fast that I couldn’t get more for our own home or projects so I already bought two more!! They are WORTH THE HYPE!! I’m tearing up just thinking about how pretty it is with the twinkling lights (& Jack is trying to convince me to put them up now! Haha!)

But seriously, this tree is 1/5 of the price of the designer versions and is truly exquisite!

Ok! I’ll stop talking so you can go get yours! Yipppeeeee!!!!!

The baskets, hurricanes, and bowls overflowing with wood and pine cones definitely give a nod to the fall season as do the warm brown velvet curtains (another Amazon find!)

The only question we have to answer is- what’s for dinner?!
