Our Powder Room Reno!
Our Hardwoods Floors are on order and that means its time to get the powder room, laundry room, and fireplace done… because we won’t be touching our flooring surfaces after our Authentic Reclaimed Hardwoods go in! This basketweave marble is A DREAM!! I couldn’t bring myself to just install floor… and if I was going to paint, then I better go ahead and rip out those tacks… and then I needed new lights… sigh… but it’s going to be so awesome when it’s done!
Here’s a little reminder of where we started and our mini fix…
Sadly pulling the dreaded tacks did not go well. In an effort to fill, sand, and prep these walls… things have only gotten worse. Much worse.
Our walls have the Mumps
I have professional backup coming in the morning because, guys, sometimes it’s better to admit defeat and get it done than to spend hours trying to DIY something. (I won’t be quitting my day job, that’s FOR SURE!)
While I try to calm the panic over this heinous wall crime (Don’t EVER put tacks/push pins… anything in your walls!) I’m daydreaming of how it’s going to look afterwards…
HERE’S THE PLAN:
Sometimes you just have to go for what you love and we are definitely doing that in this room! Walls will be slightly lighter… yet another shade of grey, of course, and we are even keeping a little gold… just in a completely updated and modern way!
