We have reached that time of year when it is the norm to be wearing body con dresses, planning a Labor Day escape, and shopping for Fall decor. It’s a very contradictory few days as we cling to the last few days of summer while the allure of Fall is almost within our reach. After last week’s foray into Fall (and a week proceeding filled with design boards all related to colder days and darker nights), I walked outside and was hit with the immediate reality… Summer is still here!
So, I have decided to embrace the dissonance and celebrate late summer fruits (my fig tree has given us the sweetest figs I have ever tasted!), dream of sun on my skin one more time… perhaps from the helm of a boat… or even just lounging on the newly decorated back deck… and shop the latest in at some of my favorite shops like Arhaus. I might even try to squeeze in some contemplative deeper thoughts such as… should I add more brass to my house? (Seriously, though. What do you think?! Should I??)
