Let’s chat about a subject many of you have been writing me about- my work from home essentials!
The last few years has made the concept of a home office more essential than ever. I’ve always held a strong belief when it comes to working from home – I treat it as I would any regular office day. That means getting dressed for work every single morning. Why, you might ask? Because it’s not just about the outfit; it’s about how it makes me feel – confident, professional, and ready to conquer the day! And, I wholeheartedly believe that this ritual significantly boosts my performance.
Now, let’s dive into some essentials for anyone navigating the work-from-home realm. It all begins with the outfit! My ultimate luxury for the Fall/Winter season is a cashmere sweater. Luxuriously soft, incredibly comfortable, and still elegant enough for those Zoom calls or in-person meetings. On days when I’m not meeting clients, I love pairing my cozy sweaters with the perfect pair of jeans. Personally, I lean towards slimmer cuts as they balance out the sweater’s silhouette beautifully.

And what about heels, you ask? Absolutely, yes! I’m a firm believer in wearing heels at home every single day. They not only make me feel great, but they also have this magical way of shaping my legs (and the added height is always a confidence booster… though don’t be surprised to see them kicked off under my desk. 🙂

Let’s shift our focus to the environment. One of the biggest perks of working from home is the power to choose the ambiance of your office. As we transition into fall, I find myself drawn to smoky scents like Firewood by Apotheke or Cedar/Tobacco by Calyan.

And, of course, no workday is complete without a great cup (or several) of coffee. My morning ritual starts with a cup, and another usually makes its appearance around three o’clock – a favorite European custom we’ve happily kept going..
So, whether you’re navigating Zoom meetings or diving into your to-do list, remember that the right outfit, environment, and a good cup of coffee can set the tone for a successful and enjoyable day of working from home!
