It’s Fri YAAAAYYY!! It’s an exciting day all year round, but add on the festivities and it’s just downright exhilarating! We’ve decked out the house from top to bottom and bought up yummy treats and now it’s time to make our gingerbread house (I bought the cake version which I think will be WAY easier to decorate.) We’ve got the kids home for the weekend and a quick jaunt up to my sister’s lake house planned to prep the cottage for Christmas (we will be LIVE on AMAZON from there on Saturday if you want a sneak peek!) I created a super festive hot chocolate station (loaded up with marshmallows and treats, of course!) and I can’t wait to soak it all up!

I love this time of year! It feels so happy and childlike and optimistic! And the re-introduction of red (and a LOT of tartan!) has infused our home with that extra little pep that has us all smiling. The stage is set, my friends, and we are ready to Par-TAY this season. So, whatever you have planned, I hope you find time to burn your Christmas candles, sing at the top of your lungs to all your favorite holiday tunes, and spend copious amounts of time with your loved ones!
