If you’ve seen the latest video on our home channel then you know that I have become completely OBSESSED with French Country style all over again! Trust me when I say that the night before I filmed that video I couldn’t even sleep! That’s how excited I was about sharing what I was discovering!
French country style is like a love affair you can’t escape; it’s captivating, romantic, and undeniably beautiful, much like the French countryside itself. Having driven through it, stayed in it, and experienced its charm, I can tell you there’s an atmosphere that’s simply magical.
When I dream of my perfect home, it’s steeped in French country style. And the best part is, you don’t have to be in France to bring this style into your own space, no matter where in the world you live. One of the things that I love about this design style is the amount of options from Gothic to Baroque, Renaissance to Roccoco, and even Neoclassical. You’ll have a plethora of inspiration to choose from, whether you’re drawn to rustic or refined, formal or quaint, medieval or modern.
(and don’t fret! You don’t have to create an entire theme around this style. Think about bringing in just a few elements if you prefer to keep your style more modern, otherwise just go for and bring it all in!)
There are far too many design options for me to share in one post, so I’ll share a few favorites. These are a few options that provide easy ways to bring in a bit of French country into your home. The key is to integrate these pieces into your style so it feels collected and curated instead of like a misplaced theme.
