Even though the air is still warm and the sun’s hanging on a little longer, I can already feel the pull toward fall. The stores are starting to fill up with seasonal decor (and we all know the best stuff sells out early!), so I’ve started adding just a few touches of autumn to our home—and let me tell you, it feels so good.
This year, I’m taking our signature neutral aesthetic and giving it a fall-forward twist by layering in rich, warm brown tones that feel like the perfect bridge between summer and autumn. Think luxe velvet pillows, textured bouclé, sculptural ceramics, and soft, glowy lighting that makes the whole room feel like a cozy hug. I love mixing in materials that have a rustic soul but still feel elevated—like weathered woods, natural stone, and handwoven textures. It’s rustic luxury at its absolute best.
We’ve kept our foundation light and neutral, but you’ll notice how those chocolatey browns and charcoal accents bring depth and that unmistakable fall feeling. I’m especially loving the contrast of soft ivory upholstery against deep espresso pillows and black accessories. And of course, sculptural elements are everywhere—because who can resist a good moody moment come fall?
If you’re like me and can’t help but start early, now’s the perfect time to add those pieces that warm up your space without diving headfirst into pumpkins and pinecones. Whether it’s a new candle, a woven throw, or just swapping out your coffee table books for something moodier, these early updates make the transition feel seamless and oh-so-stylish.
I’ll be linking all my favorite finds below (including a few of the pieces in these photos!) so you can start layering in the beauty of fall before it sneaks up on us. Let’s make this season our coziest—and chicest—yet.
