It’s not that I have a thing against stripes. Â In fact I think they are kind of cool and have untapped potential. Â But these stripes? Â Boooring. Â And completely dingy in a not so cool way. Â They need to go. Â The only problem is that I am kind of tapped out for a few weeks. Â I maaay have gone a little overboard on the master bathroom.
And I’m saving up for new hardwood floors.  So after deciding that the bathroom HAD to be painted about four months ago, I somewhat put myself on the hook to do SOMETHING. Anything!  I can’t just leave it with a bunch of stripes and then a swatch of two greens, right?
Phase one will include: paint, a new light, new mirror, and cabinet pulls. Â Phase two will include new flooring… because yet again someone decided carpet in the bathroom was a good idea. Â Eww!

Carpet in the bathroom…never a good idea! Those 90s stripes…tired circus theme. Onto the present..yes, agree with your Phase One. Intrigued where the leather will be incorporated? Perhaps leather pulls? Is this your hubs’ office? Is his room dark blue? I am on the fence with the hue of green paint in the bath. Unless the floor mirrors its depth, the carpet will cancel out any loveliness therein. I’ll fly down just to rip out the carpet for you, jump back on a plane, should take me about 12 hours total.
I’ll be waiting at the airport! Leather for the handles rather than the dingy gold. We just switched the boys into the bigger bedroom and gave my husband their blue room (NYPD by Behr). I guess that is a little before of his room too. My boys were fighting over who got to pick the paint color. Landon wanted green so I told him could paint the bathroom his color since his big brother really wanted blue. 🙂
