I have spent a great many years promoting the raw and the natural. Some have told me that it was my way of combating the chaos around me. Maybe they were right. But I’m pretty sure that with running a quickly growing real estate business, having three children, and a husband who has been traveling a lot lately with work… there is plenty of chaos to go around. If we all started a list of what’s keeping us busy, I’m pretty sure the list would go on… bum, bum, buuum… forever.
So, is there room for glamour in a chaotic world? Are we crazy to crave an art deco bathroom? I hope not! While we may not fill the tub with champagne or throw rowdy unbridled parties into the wee hours of the morning, bringing a touch of glamor to our homes is about accepting little indulgences into our every day life. The art deco period was about a belief in possibilities, something that our generation could use quite a bit of right now.
Creating an Art Deco Bathroom doesn’t have to break the bank either. It’s not about being expensive, but about creating geometric lines, adding a little sheen, and reflective surfaces, too.
Not convinced? Watch an episode of Zelda and tell me that you don’t want a bit of that unhinged youthfulness to rub off on you. I personally have a sudden urge to take a long bubble bath and read every single novel ever written by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Now that is luxury!
Here is some more inspiration just in case you might want to indulge with an Art Deco Bathroom:
