I felt a little like the grinch sneaking into Deb’s neighbor’s house. But, I mean, really. Who says no when someone offers to let you into a sprawling Georgian style brick home with huge white columns?
Rather than stealing presents and the tree, we opted to snag some photos. Somehow “The Grinch who stole photos” doesn’t have quite the same ring as “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.” Plus, in my defense, we had a key. Breaking and entering goes against my personal motto to never wear orange… unless it’s Hermes, of course.
Besides my aversion for the color orange, my personal style is quite minimalistic and modern. But having grown up in the South, I have an affection for a traditional Christmas as well. My middle son, Parker, told me that this is what he likes. This is the same kid whose favorite brands are Ralph Lauren and Burberry, so clearly he has nailed his style (and need for a good career) at 12. I was still rocking scrunchies, tube socks, and braces at his age, so this kid is way ahead of me!
The Grinch who Stole Photos was also a bit naughty and happily agreed to the invitation to see the newly renovated bathroom… which was actually quite modern and minimalistic… and oh so beautiful!
