As a real estate agent, I spend a lot of my time advising my clients to simplify their decor and generally remove clutter. But once the place is yours? Bring it on, Donkey Kong.
I remember Yiyoula (Greek for Great Grandmother) complaining that my mom had hung a family portrait in the bathroom. It didn’t bode well with her. None of us had ever thought of it like that before. It’s not like someone was actually looking back at her. But none of us ever hung a portrait in the bathroom after that . This is the same woman who demanded toilet paper over food during a blizzard one year. This is the type of wisdom that only age can bring and us youngin’s can only hope to glean from.
Creating a bathroom art wall can have major impact on your daily routine. It brings incredible life to a space and can even make the ordeal of bathing and prepping feel like the most luxurious 5 minutes of the day (or if you are like my husband… one hour, minimum.)
