April showers may bring May flowers, but June thunderstorms have been rolling in and creating a soft melodic rumble most evenings this week. We don’t mind because the fruits of this extended rainy season will be ready to pick before we know it! The blueberries are starting to ripen, the blackberries are getting larger every second, and even the fig tree has baby figs on it. The dotted sun coming through the pear tree this morning was pure bliss. I just stood in it’s rays and soaked up the warmth and optimism radiating from it.
I guess summer turns us all to romantics and poets. I certainly can’t help it!
This weekend we’ve got big plans to celebrate the Dads. It won’t surprise you that we plan to grill out, grab some time at the pool if the weather permits, and make his favorite dessert. I also hope to grab a few minutes with the book I preordered by my favorite architect, Patrick Ahearn. And I just got a stunning order from Dior Beauty in which you can pre-shop with the link in the PDF. (Use my code JUNVALENTINA to get two bonus complimentary gifts with your purchase over $125!)
So, for now, I wish you a very Happy Weekend full of warmth, sun, and endless optimism! And Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads!
