Each one of us has our own special “Blend” when it comes to our style, and what better time of year than Christmas to really play around with those possibilities? My parents are coming for Christmas this year and we could not be more excited! As I’ve mentioned before, my mom is a regular ‘ol Clark Griswold, while I am more of a minimalist, so when I started to think about what kind of backdrop I wanted to create for our Christmas morning, I decided to create something that combined both my American roots and my Scandinavian home. I hope to land somewhere in the middle of maximalism and minimalism so I created a digital storyboard to catalog some of my thoughts and keep me on track. I hope to create something that is a little raw and natural to represent the Scandinavian design I love and want to share with my parents and the Glamorous American Christmas style that I grew up with. I’ll explain along the way each image was inspiring to me for this project…
