Today is our last bittersweet day in Copenhagen. While we are sad to say good bye to all the incredible people who have poured out their love, kindness, support, and friendship on us over these last six years, we are excited to see what new adventure awaits us! Rather than going directly out west with our 10 suitcases and 3 kids, we thought a little pit stop in Atlanta for a visit with family was in order, so we changed our plane tickets and will be heading there tomorrow to visit for two weeks. yay!
I have lamented for quite some time that my personal style isn’t so Southern anymore, but this antebellum mansion, located about an hour from Atlanta, has changed my perspective. I totally have Georgia on my mind! (And a lot of memories of visiting homes likes these set up for reenactments when I was young.) With our life currently up in the air, this is definitely tempting me to become a Georgia Peach again!

To create a home similar to this, focus on balancing traditional pieces with modern lines and vice versa. Use masculine materials alongside feminine textures along with color and pattern. Here are a few of my personal recommendations::
Wallpaper makes a huge statement. Try Graham and Brown or a classic check with modern pieces.
Create an interesting mix with a four poster bed and a modern leather chair!
This bed + chair are great bargains!
Use architectural shapes to store practical items in the bathroom.
Thomas Paul makes some beauty pillows designs, especially the owl pillow featured in the kids’ bedroom, which looks so great paired with the Black Jenny Lind Bed!
Display beautiful collectables under glass cloche domes
Keep the house tidy with unique wooden boxes.
Mix Foo Dog Statues in Turquoise with vintage Chinese Urns for a modern but compelling look.
