For a lot people it’s the sudden arrival of the Pumpkin Spice Latte and Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin that usher in the Fall. If you are one of them, you have probably already pulled out your sweaters, even if you happen to live in Atlanta where it’s still certifiably summer. For the rest of us, we have to find some other less exciting mode of transition between seasons. One cool morning (66°F/18°C) and you will find the two of us sipping coffee outdoors with a blanket on our laps like we’re visiting the alps in October. Never mind the fact that a few hours later we were pouring sweat again in 92°/34° weather, casting off our overly zealous layers and heading for an iced anything.
As far as I’m concerned… Fall is here. And I am ready for a fall infusion in my home whether the weather outside demands it or not. Anybody else with me? Cue the velvet, the Leaves, & the Pumpkin Spice!
Thankfully we’ve got H&M to thank for this latest inspiration. I love the leaf patterned bedding, which comes in several colors, along with the velvet pillows (A personal tried and true favorite!) It’s not just the linens that caught my eye, though. Don’t you just love the velvet tufted bed? It’s a true classic and I’ve been eyeing a few. This one and this one are among my favorites. In the corner, the velvet Gubi Beetle chair is actually becoming a fast Danish Design Classic. It’s on my dream wish list, but this velvet chair, this one, and this one are pretty amazing, too.
