Anxious. That’s how I’ve been feeling about the bathroom remodel we are in the midst of. I expected it which I think helps, but I needed to take a bathroom break for beauty. I don’t want to think about any more cracks or delays or anything else for a few minutes. I am grateful to be able to have the bathroom remodeled, but it’s not cheap. And it’s not like we have an endless supply of money. We really need to make this remodel count so if we ever need to resell our home it’s a worthy investment for us.
When you guys get stressed how do you deal with it? I start seeking beauty. It’s been a habit of mine for years and it always works like a charm!
The moment I saw the first photo of this home tour I knew I would love every inch. (or should I say cm since it’s in Denmark?) It’s quirky. It’s moody. It’s intriguing. And it’s calming… and much cheaper than therapy!
Plus, there are so many great ideas packed into each photo! No, really, it’s literally packed with stuff and I LOVE it. The dressing room may be my personal favorite, though.
What about you? What do you think? Would you love to live in this home?

Heck, yes, I’d live there (change a couple of things), but yes it’s perfect. We moved in, went out one night for something (probably back to Home Depot for the 5th time that day), and spied a wooden arm chair left out for the trash truck. Made a u-turn, and had no business hauling something back to an unpacked, no kitchen, boxes everywhere, sleeping on the floor, condo. A month later, I finally painted it yesterday, and it’s a mixture of moody gray/blue and white. Will wrap the legs in twine to give it a nautical touch. Oh, also painted a bookcase hutch left by the trash. I am not too proud to recycle the unwanted, and give everything “the sniff test.” If I don’t create, paint, I am miserable. So, yeah, I get it, the break to see beauty when everything around you is in flux.

I like the historic bones of the house but I don’t like how it is decorated. I find the art creepy and the rest too modern or cluttered. The space itself reminds me of a flat in Paris. I’d make it comfortable but airy and not cluttered, historic but soft enough for modern living.

Yes, creepy and a bit eerie, right? I guess my tastes have gone a bit gothic since living in Scandinavia without my noticing! I agree that this totally feels french architecturally!
