We have been making over our front door in preparation for the fall season and cannot wait to take you on the journey with us. We visited Scottsdale Farms, one of our favorite places to shop for plants, and found cute Cypress shrubs but NO WHITE PUMPKINS (oh the horror!)
So that sent us on a hunt to Home Depot and beyond until we lucked out at Whole Foods.
Then it was off to the paint store which did not go according to plan.
TWO LIFE LESSONS:
-
Do not Paint your Front Door with Matte Paint. It absorbs dust, pollen, and you can’t wipe it down.
-
Do not assume, even if you are a designer, that you can choose a paint color off a swatch (said while smacking forehead and shaking head in shame.)

We created MAJOR WOW FACTOR and a Focal Point of our Home by painting the entire door Black by Benjamin Moore. This is a budget friendly way to make the door feel more to scale to the house! I had the hardest time waiting to put all the finishing touches on the house, but now that it is all pulled together we cannot wait for the rest of the porch purchases to arrive so we can complete the entire space!
As always, thank you so much for being a part of our home adventures and allowing us to be a part of yours! There really is no place like home! xx V

where can I find a flower pot like the one in your kitchen… the YouTube video where you decorated your front porch. The pot looked like a cement artichoke.
Love you and your family. Loads of fun to watch.
Thank you,
Ruth
