Planning creates inertia. It’s easy to find ourselves dragging through life or going into auto mode, but the moment we begin to plan something new, we break the rhythm of life and begin creating a new one. That’s what this week has been all about for me. I started planning a new project this week and I felt the rush of energy as it pulled me towards the future. It felt so good that I sat down and started planning out more things! I started to jot down daily tasks, dream up an escape, and even starting making a list of small changes I want to make around the house. (I have some new black linen curtains in from Amazon that I can’t wait to try!)
The weekends are the perfect excuse to rest and relax but they can also give us an enormous boost of energy that can take us right through the week until the following weekend arrives! So, this week, I encourage you to start making a plan, whether it’s a grocery list for tonight’s dinner, small updates around the house, or even the big changes you want to make! (We are still working on our outdoor area plans and I’ve started dreaming up how I want to use our unfinished basement!)
However you choose to use the weekend, I hope it’s full of inertia, dreaming, and loads of joy! xxV

Jack and Valentina, I have also struggled with my outdoor area since we bought our house 17 years ago. It’s a 2-story deck, with each area measuring approximately 10 x 17. Not a ton of room, but enough to make it beautiful. We back up to woods, but also receive full sun from sunrise until around 7:00 p.m. in the evening.
I’d love to see what you do with your outdoor patio spaces.
