And just like that, August is coming to a close, and with it comes the promise of cooler days, longer nights, and cozy factor beyond words. I’ve just started to remove the resort wear from my closet and the boxes filled with my Fall/Winter wardrobe are sitting on the floor… just waiting…
Because the last weekend of August feels like it needs its moment and I want to slow down just long enough to savor this moment… like catching your breath just before you plunge fully into the next adventure.
I plan to spend the weekend eating outside, baking the last blackberry harvest into a decadent cake, cooking a pasta with the herbs from the garden, and walking barefoot through the grass in short dresses. I’m savoring the sound of the sprinkler, the smell of the freshly cut roses, and the last few bites of the late blooming figs… because summer came and went in a blink and I know Fall will as well.
So, I say, let’s cut our flowers and fill our vases, have a glass of cold rosé and celebrate the last weekend of summer!
