I found myself mesmerized by the play between darkness and light in the home of Tom Delavan. My clients often struggle with feeling like they need to choose one or the other, but I constantly encourage a balance between the two. Neither one can exist without the other and it is the harmony of opposing forces that brings satisfaction.
In the light, objects are magnified. There is greatness to each thing while in the darkness, the shadows obscure the details and there is rest for the eye.
What is your home like? Do you have a balance of light and darkness or do you tend to reach for only one?
