I love to plan days to stay home. Even though I would say that I’m typically a more jet set kind of gal and have a bucket list of destinations 8 miles long, when the temps dip and the nights set in early, I can think of few things I would enjoy more than a night in. We shared Parker’s room this week and I feel like it just exudes all the warmth and coziness that this time of year demands. It’s totally a space worth staying in for!
We’ve got fun plans for the weekend, including sharing our favorite recipes like spiked mulled cider (served in a crystal glass in front of the fire, of course!) and omg. I invented a sausage, egg, and cheese French toast that is going to blow your mind.
I guess this is the beginning of hibernation season for many of us and while there are parties and festivities that we look forward to, it’s also ok to carve out a bit of time for hot baths and a good ‘ol lie in. Maybe even schedule in that movie night we’ve been talking about and gather up all the furry blankets from around the house, pop some popcorn and maybe even order dinner in!
So, that’s my plan… not to rush about too much, but to slow down just a bit and savor these moments! This time of year always goes by in a flash and a little rest just means we will come bounding back out of the gate by Monday!
However you choose to spend the weekend, I hope it’s full of love and joy and light! xxV
