50 Shades of Grey was pretty epic. Ok. It was more than epic. It was smokin’ hot, as in the H-O-T-T kind of hot. It came with whips and secret rooms and… I’m blushing… 50 shades of burgundy! Maybe the whole 50 Shades of Grey wasn’t too bad after all?
I mean, personally, I am still rocking it far past it’s prime, but for the forward thinking? They have moved on to 50 shades of burgundy. Because why shouldn’t they? It’s regal but not stuffy, it’s elegant but comfortable, it’s classic but not old fashioned. And it’s a neutral.
Am I really suggesting that just as we all repainted, and brought in every shade of grey that we are now kicking it to the curb? Of course not! Only the really crazy ones sell most of their belongings and change everything repeatedly.
I don’t have anything left to sell, so I’m hoping we all vote to keep the grey, at least for a while longer. BUT. (She said butt… I’ve got to start hanging out with adults again…) Why can’t we add some burgundy to shake up all these greys? I recently added one of my favorite photos from the Louvre above my desk and it adds the most extraordinary pop of color against my monochromatic scheme.
But (she said butt again!) what would happen if one were to paint a whole room? A Headboard? Or…
Snag the perfect Fall bag. (I love this one, too!)
Bring in A touch of the Louvre (my shop will be opening soon!)
with A little dash of burgundy…
A touch of Chanel (vintage if possible!)
A Room of Rugs… or just one for a space in your home!
Plant roses in the garden…
Plum Pie… with ice cream, of course.
The perfect Fall Sweater…
Burgundy leather is always a good idea. (Driving gloves & Scarf to match for the fall!)
A statement headboard is always a good idea, don’t you think?
Amazing artwork…
How about a modern take with an oil portrait, velvet furniture, and velvet pillows?
I can’t lie. I’m a fan. I may have to have a new bag. And a new shade of my favorite lipstick to match. What about you?
