I’m currently writing from our Italian villa watching the clouds roll in over Lake Como and as we pack the car to head back home, I am filled with nostalgia for summer. These warms days are so relaxing! Everywhere we’ve been this week the girls have been wearing pretty white dresses, the hydrangeas have been in bloom, and the drive has been filled with locals hanging their sheets out on the line. Even though we have LOVED getting to live our Italian Daydreams these last few days, I am excited to get home and bring a bit of these fresh Summer whites into our home as well!
I highly recommend pulling out your favorite white dress (or check out my upcoming video on my Fashion Channel this weekend for more suggestions!), and giving your sheets a fresh update (I found the most amazing striped sheets on amazon for only $30!). I love switching to the Basil scented laundry soap this time of year to bring that garden fresh scent inside, plus I love clipping from my hydrangea and filling a vase (though I have linked up a faux option if you prefer something a little longer lasting.).
Finally, don’t forget to spend some time this weekend relaxing with a good book. One of my current faves is Living with White. It’s got such a relaxed vibe and reminds me of how soothing it is to decorate with white. I’ve even brought a gorgeous pair of eyelet pjs with me to Italy and will definitely be wearing them the rest of summer!
