I know that I am not the only one who daydreams about moving to the French Countryside, or at the very least, taking a VERY long visit. Over the years many of you have shared this secret little dream of yours as well. But, when you think about it, moving to France isn’t always the most practical thing. Sometimes life gets in the way and sometimes good things keep you right where you are.
Either way, I am a strong believer in living your dreams and not waiting until someday, so why not bring the French Countryside to you… wherever you are!
I stumbled across this kitchen design by Sabbe Interior and couldn’t tear myself away from it. This home is not located in France, though you would nearly swear that it is! It represents the NEW French Country which has an unexpected modern twist on it, such as a clean lined hood and crisp white walls.

Yet it holds those dreamy worn pieces such as that table, the copper pots, and baskets that look as though a great deal of bread has been served in them!
The shelves are clean lined and crisp but they hold worn crockery and wooden spoons (just as you would hope they would be!)

Brass fixtures are at home in this kitchen alongside dark countertops. Some great ways to achieve this look are with leathered granite, black quartz, and rich silestone.
This home feels as though it was plucked from a modern fairy tale and yet it is so achievable! You may not have a space for a massive wood island but a wood table in your breakfast room would give you a similar look! And those collected items on the shelf? Totally available in flea markets, garage sales, charity shops, and even Etsy!
